Why "Actively Well"?

When you feel truly well — physically and emotionally — you have more energy, clarity, and focus for the things that matter most. You feel more confident, resilient, and productive. You're able to foster stronger relationships at home and at work, and you're a better team player. You feel like an active participant and decision-maker in your own health.

My goal is to help you do just that. Being actively involved in your wellness means being empowered to make decisions and having the confidence, resources and knowledge to make those choices. ​Wellness isn’t something that just happens — it’s something we create every day.

As a health coach, I team up with you to navigate lifestyle changes, mindset shifts and habits around nutrition, stress management, exercise, sleep, and connection. You bring the goals, and together we delve deep into your motivations and priorities to craft a plan that's personalized, realistic, and sustainable. 

Maybe you're looking into coaching after getting stuck with how to make changes or struggling to stay consistent. Or perhaps you're feeling overwhelmed by the "lifestyle prescription" or treatment plan you got from your physician. You're in the right place — you shouldn't have to figure it out on your own!

 

Coaching is for everyone. I strive to create an inclusive, welcoming space where you can feel at ease, listened to, and trusted to know what's best for you.

I especially love working with:

Recreational, competitive and student athletes looking for that elusive balance — you want to perform well in all areas of your life, yet constantly feel like something has to give. Working with active women is a particular passion of mine.

 

Clients with gut health challenges like IBS and SIBO, which means so many of the standard health and nutrition recommendations don’t apply — you need a more personalized plan for your wellness.

 

Busy high-achievers stuck in a cycle of stress and overwhelm — your responsibilities seem endless, your brain never switches off, and it seems impossible to stay consistent with good habits; you need help with motivation and the right kind of goals.

I’ve worked in health, wellness and athletic performance for a long time: I ran my own massage practice for 20 years and have been a certified distance running coach for individuals and groups since 2015. When I discovered functional medicine health coaching, it felt like a natural next step. I bring into it my natural intuition and empathy, a fascination for the connections in the human body and mind, and a deep desire to keep learning and make a difference.

 

I don’t believe you’re exploring coaching because you lack knowledge or need to be told what to do. You likely already have ideas and insights, but real change isn’t one-size-fits-all. You deserve to be treated as a whole person and the true expert in your own life. Think of me as a guide, helping you reach the destination you choose while supporting your decisions and self-discovery as we journey together.

 

I’m a lifelong athlete — former basketball player, now a distance runner — as well as a mom, wife, and business owner. I’ve navigated SIBO, burnout, shifting hormones, and eating for sports performance and for gut health. While I often tell my clients “listen to your body,” I also know it’s not always so simple.​
